Have you ever travelled to a city and it just speaks to you? That's how I feel about New York. As someone who moved around and travelled a lot growing up, there was no city that really stood out to me. I saw them all as equal, somehow dreading a bit of each city because it meant i had to leave again and again. Getting attached was always so difficult to me. But New York, oh boy, spoke to me. The liveliness of Time Square, the smell of the delis that were opened past midnight, and the passion that lingered in each indiivdual person I met. Community was strong, and I witnessed this at Creator Camp's launch of Two Sleepy People. I knew that if I wanted to feel inspired, New York was the place to be. And for that reason I will always say, I left my heart in New York City.
